I am a masters level Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers and am completing training to be a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. My goal is to help you achieve wellness and live your best life possible, whatever that looks like to you. I will meet you where you are at with the struggles you are facing and support you in developing skills to manage challenges. I specialize in supporting adolescents (ages 13-19) and adults with chronic insomnia, addictions, and/or concurrent disorders, and family members of people with substance use disorders who are experiencing the challenges of watching a loved one with an addiction.

I provide both brief and long-term counselling including motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioural therapy, and use specific and structured multi-session therapy modalities to address adult insomnia (CBT-I) and substance use (Relapse Prevention). My practice recognizes that many people struggling with mental health and substance use have histories of trauma. As a yoga instructor I am able to help you find wellness by bringing mindfulness and breath work to our sessions, and find inner power, strength and balance, if this fits with your healing journey and goals.

Although my practice is primarily for individuals, I recognize that everyone is part of a larger system, and for some people, loved ones can be an integral part of your healing journey. For teens specifically, I often invite families to the first appointment to hear everyone’s story as adolescent mental health and development is often shaped by their experiences within their family.
