I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Since 2014, I have worked with individuals of all ages and abilities in many different settings and capacities including Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) centres, mediator training, behaviour consultations, social skills groups, in home behaviour therapy and mediator training, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based treatment with the CHEO Autism Program, and, most recently, in residential care. I use the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis to assist with decreasing challenging behaviours and increasing appropriate behaviours and skill deficits that will allow the individual to reach their full potential. I believe in working with the family and the individual to create individualized strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Working with the individual/family, making changes based on progress and/or changing circumstances is important to me as for any strategy to be successful it needs to work for the family. In using Applied Behaviour Analysis, my hope is to not only improve behaviour, but also quality of life for individuals impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other mental health, developmental, learning, or behavioural challenges.
