I am a qualifying psychotherapist and I specialize in treating adolescents (12+) and adults with a variety of concerns including anxiety (e.g. worry, social anxiety, panic), depression, relationship and family difficulties, workplace and school related stress, and grief. Having worked as an essential care worker, I take a special interest in helping adults who are suffering from burnout and would like to begin the process of moving forward.
Therapy should be a collaboration that empowers you, so I use a flexible approach drawing from a variety of evidence based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy(CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy(DBT), and Mindfulness based interventions, in a way that works for where you are.
Starting a path to therapy can seem daunting and increase feelings of vulnerability. But that point is one where I believe you can begin to focus on your strength and see unfolding opportunities for growth and finding true meaning.
