Dr. Laura Hanson

C.Psych, Clinical Psychologist (Mat Leave)

I am a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I provide services to children and adolescents.

I have provided psychological services, including assessments, therapy, and consultation services in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, community mental health clinics, and private practice settings. I have worked with a variety of client populations, including children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, serious mental health concerns, learning and developmental disabilities, as well as typically-developing children and adolescents learning to cope with a variety of circumstances and looking to enhance their own abilities and maximize their strengths.

Here at the Kanata Psychology and Counselling Centre, I provide psychological assessment services for children and adolescents (ages 1 to 18), with my areas of focus including Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities/intellectual disability, and learning disorders. I also supervise PhD Practicum Students in their provision of assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents.
