I have a passion to help others find meaning in their experiences. Periods of loss or adjustment, can disrupt familiar ways of understanding goals and values. I offer a caring and accepting space to share and explore your insights and feelings. Working from a collaborative relational approach, our relationship creates a safe space for working through present or past challenges to realizing individual self-esteem needs and relationship needs. Ongoing collaboration ensures that the counselling process focuses on your needs and goals.
My counselling practice includes supporting individuals experiencing: workplace stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, low self-esteem, life transitions, anger and complex trauma. Given the integrative and collaborative focus of my practice, I adopt evidenced based techniques from: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Ego-State Therapy, and Attachment Theory. My humanistic relational approach is informed by Self-in-relationship Theory as well as my personal reflections as teacher, parent, coach and friend.
My practice includes providing support to individuals (14+). Additionally, my practice is under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca Moore, Ontario Registered Psychologist
